Australian singer, Shannon Noll, has officially launched his alcohol brand – Great Australian Rum Co – aiming to develop premium Australian rum, rich in character, and refined in quality.

The company’s production philosophy is grounded in excellence, using a multi-cask finishing process that layers flavour and depth. From maple syrup barrels to rare muscat casks, each expression brings something unique to the glass, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional rum drinkers and whisky lovers.

The flagship release, King Brown Premium Rum (RRP $100.00), has already received recognition on the international stage, recently awarded a Silver medal at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Awards.

Described as a showcase of craftsmanship and complexity, the double-distilled Australian rum begins with a smooth base aged two years in American Oak, before finishing across a lineup of casks – ex-shiraz French oak, maple syrup, bourbon, and muscat.

“At Great Australian Rum Co., we take a small-batch approach to rum-making,” said Noll.

“Every barrel is hand-selected, every finish meticulously crafted. This isn’t just rum – it’s a reimagining of the category. From the stage to the still, I’ve always chased excellence. With Great Australian Rum Co., I’m not just chasing it – I’m bottling it.”

There are three core products in the range, including;

  • Gold Rum (RRP $70.00)
    A refined blend of ex-red wine and ex-bourbon casks. With warm vanilla, toasted oak, golden syrup, and spiced citrus notes, it’s a rum that surprises and delights.
  • White Rum (RRP $70.00)
    Distilled four times and aged for a minimum of two years, this smooth spirit brings subtle oak and tropical character, ideal for sipping or mixing.
  • Spiced Rum (RRP $75.00)
    A native botanical blend that captures the essence of Australia. Bottled at 40% ABV, it’s bold enough to stand alone, smooth enough to mix.

The full product range is now available online at greataussierum.co.
