Nestle has created 500 special edition KitKat gift packs in celebration of Lunar New Year this weekend.

Sculpted around the classic KitKat wafer, chocolatiers have taken inspiration from Asia to create flavours such as Red Bean and Toasted Coconut, and Citrus Crème Brulee.

Eight individually wrapped single pieces of chocolate are encased in a bespoke bamboo box.

The confectionery company will celebrate The Year of the Rooster by offering the packs at its store in Melbourne Central for $68 each this Sunday at 11.30am.

Chocolate lovers can also buy Lunar New Year flavours for $6 as part of the KitKat Chocolatory Special Edition range, and enjoy a store blessing and lion dancing.
