Good Drinks Australia has launched its Matso's Mr Matsumoto beer, a premium Japanese-style lager brewed in honour of Broome’s historic Japanese pearl divers, in its home state of Western Australia.

Launched under Good Drinks Australia’s Matso’s brand, Mr Matsumoto is described as having a clean, dry, and perfectly balanced flavour, set to delight Australian lager lovers with a taste that fuses culture, heritage, and craftsmanship.

The beer was initially launched in Queensland last July, at the company’s Sunshine Coast brewery. Now, it’s available in the area that inspired it.

Both the Matso’s brand and the new beer are named after the building that became the company’s Broome brewery – originally ‘Matsumoto’s General Store’, or shortened to Matso’s Store.

Good Drinks Australia managing director, John Hoedemaker, said the company was excited to be launching Mr Matsumoto in Western Australia.

“It's the perfect complement to our portfolio and an important addition to the Australian lager loving market,” said Hoedemaker.

“There’s nothing like it available here – a crisp Japanese style lager, with all the characteristics you’d expect of a Japanese import, but it's made right here in WA. I couldn't be prouder of our team and the celebration of our heritage between our spiritual home in Broome and it’s Japanese-Australian roots.”

Mr Matsumoto joins a range of Matso’s beverages, including Vodka Lemon Lime Crush, Vodka Pash Pine Crush, Ginger Beer, Mango Beer, Nightlife Ginger Beer 6%, Nightlife Rum Lime & Ginger Beer, Nightlife Vodka Mint Lime & Ginger Beer, Chilli & Lime Ginger Beer, and Low Sugar Ginger Beer.

Mr Matsumoto is now available nationwide for RRP $22.00 in a six-pack.
