Mars Wrigley says Australians will the first in the world to get their mouths around the new Mars Bar: Salted Caramel with Honeycomb flavour.

Featuring honeycomb flavoured nougat in salted caramel, coated in milk chocolate, the new Mars Bar is the perfect balance of sweet and salty.

The flavour has been developed locally by Mars Wrigley’s R&D team and proudly made in Ballarat, the home of the company’s chocolate innovation.

This new product comes after the company announced a $30M investment in its Ballarat factory last year, enabling Mars Wrigley to excel their consumer-led product innovation.

As with all Mars Bars, the new flavour uses 100% Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa.

Salted Caramel with Honeycomb flavour Mars Bar is available from 7-Eleven stores nationwide from the 27 July, before rolling out to all major supermarkets and retailers from mid-August.

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
