Lavazza has created a new organic, Rainforest Alliance endorsed coffee called ¡Tierra!, available in three blends: ¡Tierra! for Planet, ¡Tierra! for Africa and ¡Tierra! for Amazonia.

Each of the flavours celebrates the diverse flavours from the regions.

¡Tierra! was founded almost 20 years ago as a brand-project by Lavazza. It focuses on social and economic developments for local communities, along with promoting coffee plantations to implement sustainable agricultural practices.

¡Tierra! for Planet is a medium roast fruity blend, created using handpicked organic Arabica beans from Africa, Central and South America.

Using an aromatic blend with a chocolate aftertaste, ¡Tierra! for Amazonia uses organic Arabica from Peru and supports reforestation in degraded areas of the Amazon rainforest.

With a 7/10 intensity, ¡Tierra! for Africa uses Arabica and Robusta beans from East Africa and supports the new generation of farmers in that region by training them in the entrepreneurial management of their business, Lavazza said.

All blends are in collaboration with international NGO Rainforest Alliance, that works for the preservation of biodiversity and the rights of workers, their families and communities.

¡Tierra! is available in Woolworths, Coles (Amazonia and Planet only), and the Lavazza website. The 500g bag of whole beans is RRP $18.00.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.

PKN brings you the top 20 clicks on our website this year, a healthy mix of surprise and no-surprise. Pro-Pac Packaging led the list, Women in Packaging came in at #4, and Zipform's paper bottle at #15.
