Tasmanian whisky brand, Lark Distillery, has launched its latest Rare Cask Series whisky, Mizunara Batch 2. Inspired by founder Bill Lark’s journeys to Japan, the Mizunara pour is a testament to craftsmanship.

Made from 100 per cent Tasmanian barley, this limited-edition single malt is matured in small casks and finished in rare Japanese Mizunara oak. Felling of the white oak is controlled by the Japanese government, and restricted under the age of 80, so many Mizunara cask barrels are made from trees that have matured for over 200 years.

With Lark’s signature craftsmanship, a longer seven-day fermentation, a post-malt smoking process and hand-bottling precision, Mizunara Batch 2 presents as a luxurious fusion of Tasmanian purity and Japanese tradition.

It offers notes of freshly baked apple pie, creamy French vanilla and sweet incense, delivering a layered tasting experience.

Lark Distillery’s Mizunara Rare Cask is now available online at larkdistillery.com for RRP $1000.
