The Kraft Heinz Company has released its first vegan version of the iconic boxed Mac & Cheese, choosing Australia as its launching pad. Mac & Cheese Vegan is also gluten free.

Kraft said the product was developed in response to changing consumer trends, with more new product lines across the brand on the way.

Kraft Heinz Company CMO for Australia Shane Kent said it was a great moment to be the first in the company globally to bring the vegan alternative for Mac & Cheese to market.

“Over the last 18 months, we have been on a journey to extend our range of products in line with changing consumer preferences and this is just one example of many things to come,” said Kent.

Kraft Vegan Mac & Cheese is available in its distinct packaging in Woolworths nationwide for RRP $3.99.
