The Jack Daniel Distillery is bringing its Jack Daniel’s 10 Years Old to Australia – the brand’s first aged expression made available outside of the United States.

The inaugural release for the Jack Daniel’s new Aged Series, Jack Daniel’s 10 Years Old features the same ingredients and process as the Jack Daniel’s iconic Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey – 80 per cent corn, 12 per cent malted barley, and 8 per cent rye, which is mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before entering handmade, oak barrels.

As an evolved approach for our Jack Daniel’s 10 Years Old to Jack’s aged-state whiskey-making process, the barrels are aged in the upper floors of the Jack Daniel’s barrelhouse in Lynchburg, Tennessee, where the maturation process is intensified. The barrels are then methodically relocated to the lower levels, extending the aging process and deepening the flavour profile.

The result is a 48.5% ABV whiskey with a unique and intense character featuring notes of rich molasses, chocolate and spice, paired with a long, warm finish.

Handcrafted by master distiller, Chris Fletcher, and with just under 3000 bottles available, the ultra-limited release sets the stage for future age-stated releases to come.

“Bringing our first-ever aged stated whiskey to markets outside of the U.S. marks an exciting new chapter for Jack Daniel’s,” said Fletcher.

“Over the past decade, we’ve worked tirelessly to craft a whiskey that not only reflects the depth and character of our early releases, but also speaks to the global demand for premium and high-quality whiskey. This release is a tribute to our heritage, inspired by the past and crafted with the expertise of today.

“Australia is home to some of our most passionate fans and the world’s most discerning whiskey drinkers. Jack Daniel’s 10 Year Old is the perfect whiskey for them, showcasing the true craftsmanship and quality that only Jack can offer,” he said.

Jack Daniel’s 10 Years Old will be available at select retailers and online from August, for RRP $150.00 in a 700ml bottle.
