In the lead up to World Vegan Day (1 November), the Zamora Company has released its new tiger nut-based liqueur, Licor 43 Horchata.

There is no lactose or milk protein in this plant-based beverage, made from tiger nuts – the root of the Cyperus Esculentus plant – and combined with spices, citrus, and a floral palate.

“Innovation has long lain at the heart of Licor 43, with Licor 43 Horchata we wanted a delicious product in the cream liqueur category that also meets the growing consumer demand for lighter and non-dairy alternatives”, said global marketing and innovation director for spirits at Zamora Company Julian Fernandez.

“This delicate liqueur is the ultimate indulgence to enjoy with family and friends during their after-meal moments. It’s gluten-free, vegan, nut-free formula means that all can enjoy.”

The brand also features its “Did I mention I’m vegan?” tagline as an “unapologetic marketing approach”, Zamora Company said, to further communicate the credentials at the core of the brand.

Licor 43 Horchata has 16% ABV and is now available for RRP $39.99 at Dan Murphy's, Booze Bud, Tipple & selected independent retailers.
