Since its launch in 2013, Cote des Roses has expanded its global distribution to 175 countries. Each bottle in the range features a blooming glass rose on the base, designed for a competition in 2010 by French designer Mélitine Courvoisier.

Gérard Bertrand rolled out a lighter version of the Rosé bottle in February, which is now making its way onto Australian shelves. The new design aims to reduce the company’s carbon footprint, and also features the rose emblem on the front of the bottle embossed into the glass, where it was previously a label.

Marketed as a “wine to be given in the same way you would offer a bunch of roses”, the company has positioned the refreshed bottle as the perfect Mother’s Day gift. The Rosé is a dry and light-bodied offering that has a fresh palate and balance of fruit and acidity.

Cote des Roses Rosé is now available at Dan Murphy’s stores across Australia for RRP $23.95, with the updated bottle design currently rolling out.
