Dairy goods producer, Summer Land Camels, is celebrating 10 years of saving wild camels from being culled in the Australian outback and training them to produce dairy products, with the launch of a new edition of its Camel Milk Vodka – French Oak Matured.

After crafting its range of award-winning cheeses, the Summer Land Camels team is left with high-quality camel milk whey – a by-product rich in nutrients and flavour. Rather than waste it, they set out on a mission to unlock its potential.

Camel Milk Vodka was the result of innovation and sustainability, a spirit that’s exceptionally smooth and environmentally conscious. Every bottle helps prevent food waste (with 3 litres of whey used per bottle), reduces water and carbon footprints compared to traditional spirits, and celebrates a whole-animal, no-waste ethos.

The French Oak Matured edition is the latest in its line-up. Crafted from camel milk whey and matured on French oak, it has rich notes of caramel, toasted oak and malted cream and is smooth with a warming finish.

Made in collaboration with award-winning Imbibis Craft Distillery, this boutique vodka is produced in small batches, and is distilled just three times to preserve purity and character.

Summer Land Camels director and CEO, Paul Martin, said the company is always striving to lead with innovation grounded in purpose.

“Camel Milk Vodka – French Oak Matured is a celebration of our commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and redefining what’s possible in Australian agriculture,” said Martin.

“It’s not just a spirit – it’s a story of transformation, turning what was once overlooked into something extraordinary, much like our camels themselves.”

Summer Land Camels was also recently selected for the Brisbane Economic Development Agency’s (BEDA) Future Food Global Accelerator, which will support the company in exporting its products worldwide.

Camel Milk Vodka – French Oak Matured is now available for preorder at summerlandcamels.com.au, for RRP $139.00 in a 500ml bottle, or $59.00 in a 200ml bottle.
