Western Australian dairy company, Brownes Dairy, is the latest to jump on the high-protein trend – with the launch of ProGo, an evolution of its Yogo dessert. 

Brownes’ ProGo is packed with 17 grams of dairy protein per serve, with no added sugar, all-natural colours and flavours, and a gluten-free formula.

The company stated the launch aims to capture the attention of a new generation of health-conscious consumers, leveraging nostalgic brand equity to introduce a product aligned with modern wellness lifestyles.

Brownes Dairy head of marketing, Nicole Ohm, said the growing demand for convenient ways to boost protein intake has brought people back to dairy, so the company developed ProGo to deliver in the desserts space.

“While nostalgia is powerful, this launch is about the future. We saw a clear opportunity for a product that delivers the taste consumers love but with the nutritional benefits they now expect,” said Ohm.

“Brownes is here to do dairy better. By taking an iconic brand like Yogo and reformulating it to be both highly functional and delicious, we’re aiming to attract health-focused millennials and Gen Z to the category.”

Brownes Dairy ProGo Choc is now available in Coles, Woolworths, and independent retailers.
