AvoFresh has just launched Classic Guacamole, its first guacamole product in its range, made with cold pressed avocado, onion, chilli, coriander, lime and sea salt.

AvoFresh Classic Guacamole is made on the De Paoli family farm just outside Bundaberg, Queensland, from hand-picked Australian avocados.

It comes packaged in a resealable tub, is vegan friendly, gluten free, dairy free and contains no artificial colours or flavours.

The De Paoli family has been farming for more than 50 years in the Bundaberg and Childers region of Queensland. AvoFresh was created in 2010, when father and son team, David and Trent De Paoli saw an opportunity to provide lovers of avocado with a convenient and reliable alternative.

David De Paoli said the AvoFresh secret is in the way the fruit is processed.

“When our avocados are at the perfect ripeness, we peel and pit them. We then use a unique cold pressed, high-pressure technology to deliver AvoFresh products which allows us to retain the fresh natural taste and texture without additives, artificial flavours or colours,” De Paoli said.

AvoFresh Classic Guacamole is available in 160g tubs, for $5.50 and can be found in Woolworths and independent supermarkets across Australia.

Packaging News

While UN negotiations to deliver a legally binding plastics treaty have ended in deadlock, Australia remains aligned with the High Ambition Coalition and is progressing domestic efforts on plastics recycling infrastructure and circular economy policy – though decisive action on packaging reform remains stalled.

In line with growth in demand for pressure sensitive labels in SE Asia, UPM Adhesive Materials is expanding its label material factory in Malaysia, adding a new coating line alongside other facility upgrades.

The Australasian Institute of Packaging has become an executive member of the Asian Packaging Federation, as the institute continues to expand its provision of education and training in the region.
