Archie Rose has launched Whiskey Gone a Rye #2, a special edition to the Rye Malt Whisky and the sixteenth release to its Trials & Exceptions series.

Described as rich and complex, the Rye Malt Whisky is imbued with the flavours of high-quality Australian fortified wine in a way usually reserved for single malt, continuing Archie Rose's approach of marrying Australian rye grains with traditional single malt technique for a uniquely Archie Rose drinking experience.

Archie Rose’s signature Rye Malt Whisky is generally matured in new, charred, American oak casks. This gives the whisky a classic American oak profile and allows the quality of the Australian malted rye and barley grain to shine through.

The Rye Malt spirit has instead been matured in Australian fortified wine casks, combining the quality of NSW grains with the flavours of local Apera casks.

Whisky Gone A Rye #2 features notes of honey-poached peaches, candied figs, vanilla crème brulée, sweet baking spices and  oak. Its first release back in November 2021 sold out in no time, and only 1550 bottles are available for the second release.

Whiskey Gone a Rye #2 is available to purchase through Archie Rose for RRP $139.00.
