Italian wine and premium spirits importer, In a Glass Group, is bringing Euro summer to Australia with the launch of Amante 1530 – direct from Rome.

Crafted at the Pallini Distillery in Rome and made with Italian-grown botanicals like orange peel, chamomile, vanilla, and gentian root, Amante 1530 was formulated in partnership with master winemaker Riccardo Cotarella.

With a 15% ABV, and 20 per cent less sugar than most traditional aperitifs, Amante is Italy’s answer to the modern drinker’s craving for something more considered.

Co-founder and CEO, Ana Rosenstein, said Amante 1530 was dreamt up during a long, wine-soaked dinner at Il Palagio, the couple’s historic estate in Tuscany.

“Most spritzes are either too sweet or too forgettable,” said Rosenstein.

“We created something you’d actually want to drink neat. Drier, more complex, more grown-up, it’s the intersection of elegance and ease.”

The name Amante, Italian for “lover”, is a nod to indulgence, ritual, and the romance of everyday life. The number 1530 references both the founding year of Il Palagio and the origins of tarot reading in Italy, infusing the brand with a sense of symbolism and magic.

From its ridged Italian glass bottle designed for bartenders, to its modern-meets-vintage aesthetic, every detail of Amante 1530 is intentional.

“We wanted it to feel like it had always been on the back bar of your favorite Roman café, but still stand out on a shelf in Australia,” said Rosenstein.

“We’re already in six countries and growing fast. But our real goal is to build something lasting; something that becomes part of culture. I want people to say ‘Amante’ the way they say ‘Martini’ or ‘Negroni.’

“Australia’s appreciation for sunshine, flavour, and casual elegance made it the perfect launch market. It’s a place where ritual meets spontaneity,” she said.

Amante 1530 is imported exclusively in Australia by In A Glass Group, supporting on trade directly and is now available exclusively in retail through Dan Murphy’s and BWS.
