New to the tea aisle in Coles and Woolworths, Arkadia has launched a three new chai blends with benefits to reduce stress, improve mood, and boost immunity.

The range includes Calming Chai with adaptogens Ashwagandha and L-Theanine. With a mild chai spice flavour and a blend of decaf tea and chamomile, this chai is perfect for before bed.

Akadia said Ashwagandha was known for combatting stress and anxiety, improving mood and memory, and reducing inflammation and reduce blood sugar levels.

The amino acid L-Theanine, extracted from tea, can reduce anxiety, stress, and promote relaxation aiding a good night’s sleep.

The range also includes an immunity boosting chai with ayurvedic spices ginger and turmeric with vitamins and minerals, and Collagen Chai, with 5g of collagen per serve for healthy joints, hair, skin and nails.

While adaptogens have seen a recent market boom, these foods are nothing new. Used in traditional Indian medicines, ayurvedic foods have been used to maintain balance and wellbeing for thousands of years.

Arkadia Plus+ Chai is available in selected Coles stores and will launch in Woolworths in early June 2022.

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
