Life Savers latest chocolate block: Life Savers Musk and Raspberry Jelly Milk Chocolate Block, features musk flavour and chewy raspberry jelly pieces in Darrell Lea milk chocolate.

A staple at corner shops and milk bars, musk lollies made a debut in 1932, and have since become a core memory in Australian childhoods.

Aussies can now take a trip down memory lane with the reinvented classic lolly in a block.

Life Savers senior marketing manager Jodi Teasdale said, the musk flavour was quintessentially Australian.

“It’s no surprise that it’s the second most popular Life Savers roll flavour - when creating our new chocolate block, we knew musk would be paired perfectly with Darrell Lea milk chocolate,” said Teasdale.

Life Savers Musk and Raspberry Jelly Milk Chocolate Block is 100 per cent Australian made and all chocolate is made using sustainably sourced cocoa. The block is available nationwide in Woolworths and Coles for RRP $5.00.

Packaging News

Australia's environment ministers have declared packaging reform urgent and named soft plastics as an initial priority, but offered no firm timetable or regulatory commitments. SPSA has welcomed the soft plastics focus, while Boomerang Alliance and WMRR have raised concerns about the lack of concrete action.

Economic analysis commissioned by SPSA estimates national recycling reforms could deliver up to $278m in net productivity gains and stimulate up to $2.6b in capital investment each year.

A cross-sector open letter is urging national leaders to agree on a pathway for regulated producer responsibility schemes at the September Environment Ministers Meeting.
