New Zealand based seaweed company Pacific Harvest is placing health at the centre of its products with the release of its nutrient dense Raw Nori Seaweed Snack Packs.

The on-the-go snacks have a 5 Star Health Rating and are free from additives and preservatives while being a sustainable plant-based food option.

Pacific Harvest managing director Hayley Fraser-Mackenzie said although seaweed is known for its nutritional benefits, consumers are unsure how to incorporate it into their diets.

“This easy format is a raw, healthy snack. We don’t need to eat seaweed options laden with fats, which have been processed in ways that destroy their nutrient value. With fully recyclable packaging, our products also have a far gentler footprint on the planet,” Mackenzie said.

The snack company has only working with ethical and sustainable seaweed harvesters since it was established in 2002 and all its products comply with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) guidelines.

The Raw Nori Seaweed Snack is available in an eight pack at health food stores nationally and the Pacific Harvest website for RRP $4.30.

Packaging News

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
