Bundaberg Distilling Company and Bundaberg Ginger Beer have come together to put an alcoholic kick into the classic Ginger Beer, creating Bundaberg Alcoholic Ginger Beer.

The drink has been crafted with local ingredients, using freshly cut white Queensland cane spirit. The four per cent ABV beer delivers a classic ginger flavour as it is craft brewed for three days in Bundaberg.

Bundaberg Ginger Beer CEO John McLean said they are excited to collaborate with Bundaberg Distilling to launch the alcoholic version.

"We believe our 53-year history of brewing Australia’s favourite Ginger Beer, using locally sourced ingredients, paired with

John McLean and Duncan Littler.

Bundaberg Distilling Company’s 133-years of distilling is a match made in flavour heaven,” said McLean.

Bundaberg Distilling Company marketing & experience manager Duncan Littler said the company is looking forward to bringing the drink into a new category.

“We know the Alcoholic Ginger Beer category is growing rapidly and nobody is better placed than two local Aussie icons to introduce the best Alcoholic Ginger Beer made by locals for locals with real ingredients to more Aussies,” he said.

Bundaberg Alcoholic Ginger Beer will be available in 375ml cans during early November in independent bottle shops for RRP $21.99 per four pack.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
