Processing and packaging solutions company tna has opened a new manufacturing facility in the Netherlands dedicated to  fryers, freezers,  and pre-processing equipment such as peelers, washers and dryers.

Spanning 3600m2, the new facility will allow tna to increase its production capacities and incorporate an expanded Food Technology Testing Centre (FTTC) and a dedicated product demonstration area. This will incorporate both processing and packaging equipment in a single location.

The new FTTC will allow food manufacturers an insight into the latest controls technology, including advanced equipment integration, detailed data collection, and cloud-based controls.

“We’re incredibly excited to officially open our new food processing centre”, co-founder and director Nadia Taylor said.

"The new site is three times bigger than the previous Florigo factory, which not only strengthens our current manufacturing capabilities, but also ensures we have the capacity to further expand our operations in the future.

"It’s also great news for our customers who now have even more room to test our equipment.

"From cutting and drying through to frying, seasoning and distribution, all the way to our high-speed packaging technology, the new factory will be the first place where we’ll get to showcase our entire range of start-to-finish solutions. We’re really happy with the setup of the new factory and can’t wait to welcome everyone at the new site.”

Since acquiring Florigo back in 2015, tna has made a number of significant investments and increased the local workforce by 80 per cent.

Tna Solutions director Nadia Taylor will be one of the panellists at the Women in Industry Breakfast Forum held as part of the AIP National Conference on 3 May. Hosted by PKN Packaging News and Food & Drink Business, the event will include a keynote speaker followed by a panel discussion featuring influential and inspiring women working in the food, beverage and packaging industry. With the theme of Bridging the Diversity Gap, the event will explore initiatives in Australian companies making positive changes for female employees. You can register here for the Queensland event.
