Machinery supplier Nupac partnered with stock manufacturer Massel to deliver an innovative solution and a positive experience.

In the world of food manufacturing, efficiency and precision are paramount. Massel Australia, a leading manufacturer of high-quality stocks, recently faced a challenge that demanded an innovative solution.

The company’s need was clear: to increase bag-filling capacity, while simultaneously reducing operator input. That’s when they turned to Nupac, a trusted supplier of processing and packaging equipment renowned for its commitment to finding high quality solutions for its customers.

Massel recognised the need to enhance its bulk bagging process. The goal was clear: streamline operations, reduce labour requirements, and elevate efficiency. It needed a partner who could not only provide cutting-edge machinery but also understand the unique constraints and demands of its production facility.

Massel’s journey towards a solution led the company to Nupac, which the company saw as setting itself apart from the competition with its state-of-the-art equipment.

Michael Caine, general manager of Massel Australia, said they proceeded with Nupac. He said, “They displayed a genuine interest in coming up with a solution for us. Nupac listened to our needs and constraints and were able to come up with a creative and efficient solution.”

Nupac recommended the Statec Binder Acropac-T, a fully automatic bagging machine perfectly tailored to Massel’s requirements. This state-of-the-art equipment not only increased bag-filling capacity, but also significantly reduced the need for manual operator input.

One of the crucial aspects of the Nupac solution was its ability to deliver substantial cost-savings per bag filled. This cost-effectiveness made the investment in the new equipment an attractive proposition for Massel.

Massel faced a particularly challenging constraint – limited space, especially in terms of height.

Nupac, working closely with its partner Statec Binder, had to navigate around this challenge and were able to engineer a solution which remained within these space constraints. This commitment to meeting every challenge head-on impressed Massel Australia and reinforced its trust in Nupac.

Massel’s experience with Nupac was seen positively, with Caine also noting that the entire process was overall, a “very good experience” and that the team handled all of queries and questions “professionally and with ease”, which created a rapport that made communication direct and simple, especially when it came time to plan and then execute the implementation.

When asked if they would recommend Nupac to others, Massel answered with a resounding “yes”. Their recommendation is based on the positive experience they had during the purchase process and the confidence they have in Nupac’s after-sales support.

The company is confident that the ongoing support will be just as professional, positive, and effective as the initial experience.

In conclusion, a strong connection was built with Massel and the transformation of its bag-filling process not only improved its operational efficiency but also its confidence in Nupac to support them no matter the challenge.
