According to Alfa Laval, its new PlusClean cleaning nozzle delivers 100 per cent tank cleaning coverage and can save up to 80 per cent on water usage and cleaning costs.

Alfa Laval global portfolio manager Tank Cleaning Janne Pedersen said using PlusClean in any tank cleaning process meant there was nowhere for contaminants to hide.

The PlusClean can be paired with a top-mounted tank cleaning device and installed flush with the tank wall or bottom. The cleaning spray nozzle features an optimised high-impact spray pattern which ensures total coverage. With a built-in adjustment function that makes installation easy and operation effective, the nozzle also gets into shadow areas such as beneath agitator blades.

Improving process efficiency, safety, and product quality, the nozzle helps companies achieve higher productivity and competitive advantage. PlusClean is available in three versions with the standard PlusClean supplied as a media spring-activated cleaning nozzle for hygienic process tank cleaning. There is also a pneumatic-driven version.

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
