The new and improved Xtreme RE7 Tube Circuit from Eriez has a substantially stronger pull force thanks to enhanced magnet technology.

Eriez has enhanced its Rare Earth permanent magnet technology with the a new and improved Xtreme RE7 Tube Circuit which has been shown to be 13 to 40 percent stronger than other magnets in head-to-head pull tests.

Eriez commissioned Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) to determine which commercial tube magnet most effectively removes and holds dangerous ferrous metal and weakly magnetic contaminants from process flows.

Thirteen tube magnets from various suppliers were stripped of brand identity and then provided to the Behrend College at Penn State for testing.

According to conclusions noted by Penn State, the pull force of the Xtreme RE7 Tube Circuit was substantially stronger than any of the other samples.

The pull force is the single most critical measurement because it clearly demonstrates how effective the magnet is in hanging on to the contaminant metal and not releasing it back into the flow.

The Eriez Xtreme RE7 magnet circuit is available in all Eriez Tubes, Grates and Liquid Line Traps used in food, plastics and other applications.

“The increased power of the Xtreme RE7 has a direct and positive impact on product purity and plant productivity,” Eriez Magnetic Separation product manager Eric Confer says.

“Customers benefit from the increased strength of the new Xtreme RE7 products without any additional cost over our previous Rare Earth products.”

Xtreme RE7 Tube Circuit surpasses previous models and competitive units not only with greater holding force but also improved separation efficiency, its maker says. For customers in the process industries, this has a direct and positive impact on plant productivity.
