AMS Instrumentation & Calibration is introducing the latest thermal mass flow meters from FCI to Australia, ideal for enhancing boiler air preheater system efficiency in high-demanding, hazardous plant environments.

The FCI MT100 and ST102A Multipoint Air/Gas Flow Meter combines electronics and air flow sensors to provide precision and temperature-compensated mass flow measurement of air.

Both flow meters have low maintenance requirements have been independently tested and verified to comply with IEC safety directives for EMC and LVD, and carry the CE marking.

Such flow meters are designed to measure air flow under high temperature condition in hazardous environments, such as around industrial boilers, which are fired by carbon fuel forces and often result in waste gases that must be treated to prevent air pollution, as assisted by air preheater systems.

The FCI MT100 and ST102A Flow Meters can be ordered from AMS with HazEx agency approvals for processes with hazardous or potentially explosive gases and dusts.

The ACCC has instituted court proceedings against Clorox Australia, owner of GLAD-branded kitchen and garbage bags, over alleged false claims that bags were partly made of recycled 'ocean plastic'.

In news that is disappointing but not surprising given the recent reports on the unfolding Qenos saga, the new owner of Qenos has placed the company into voluntary administration. The closure of the Qenos Botany facility has also been confirmed.

An agreement struck between Cleanaway and Viva Energy will see the two companies undertake a prefeasibility assessment of a circular solution for soft plastics and other hard-to-recycle plastics.
