Teralba has expanded its range of Mixquip Series 500 Bottom Entry Agitators allowing large beverage tanks to be fitted with bottom entry mixers. Positioning an agitator on the base of a mixing vessel has advantages over top entry mixers or side entry agitator mounting positions.

Base Entry Agitators are ideal for mixing products where solids or higher SG liquids settle in bottom of the tank. Mixquip Series 500 Base Entry Agitators provide a powerful axial flow up through the tank contents. The Mixquip can also mix down to less than 5 per cent of the total tank volume

Other advantages include mixing a tank when 1/2 or 1/3 full. The short shaft equals lower cost than top entry mixers and ease of access at floor level, for servicing.

The bottom entry agitator can enable mixing from 5000 litres to maximum capacity of 220,000 litres.

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
