Airbnb launches search for world's best home cooks

To celebrate the launch, Airbnb is searching for the world’s 100 best home cooks and sending them on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy for a five day course at Slow Food’s University of Gastronomic Sciences studying alongside culinary expert Momofuku chef and founder David Chang.

Through Cooking Experiences travellers can learn recipes that are usually reserved for friends and family from learning grandmas' recipes to traditional Uzbek home-cooking.

Local Experiences include Angie Hong, mother and mentor of Dan Hong, Mr Wong’s head chef.

During Monday Hong Dinners, Angie Hong welcomes people from all over the world into her family home for a 3 course dinner where she shares her expertise on the Vietnamese food that made Mr Wong a renowned chef.

To be one of the lucky 100 to be sent to Italy, aspiring foodies can enter themselves or nominate their favourite home cooks via airbnb.com/cooking until December 23, 2019.
