Ready-to-drink cocktail company, Curatif, has completed a crowd-sourced funding campaign of over $1.4 million through OnMarket, supported by 613 investors. The company is gearing up to launch overseas, with a fulfilment partner already in place to take its online model into the UK.

Since its 2019 launch, Curatif has become one of the most awarded premium RTD cocktail brands, and is gearing up for international and on-premise expansion. The company has previously attracted around $5.5 million in funding, including a $2.5 million seed round in 2021, supporting its rapid manufacturing expansion, and company and category development.

Made in-house in Port Melbourne, Curatif’s cocktails have attracted international acclaim, with the company winning World’s Best RTD Producer at IWSC four years running. The company has been collaborating with iconic Australian distilleries, such as Four Pillars Gin and Archie Rose Distilling Co., since launch to create its premium canned cocktails.

Curatif managing director, Matt Sanger, said the team had learnt plenty over the last few years.

“Financial discipline – arguably the toughest lesson to learn in any business – has now become the second guiding principle of the business after the first, ‘just make great drinks’, which will never, ever change,” said Sanger via LinkedIn.

“That discipline has provided that we're now profitable – not just run-rate profitable, not via accounting complexity – genuinely profitable in the only growth category in alcobev.”

Further information about Curatif's imminent UK launch will be released in the coming weeks.
