Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing industry is converging on Melbourne this week for foodpro 2026, the country’s leading trade event for processing, packaging and innovation. Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 26-29 July, foodpro 2026 will be opened at 10am on Sunday 26 July by Victorian Minister for Industry and Advanced Manufacturing and Minister for Skills and TAFE, Colin Brooks.
foodpro is returning after a three-year break, with the 2026 edition expected to attract more than 450 exhibitors and over 9000 food and beverage professionals. The event will span eight industry segments, showcasing processing equipment, packaging solutions, ingredients, food science and sustainable manufacturing technologies across four days.

The event will officially open at 10am on 26 July, with an opening speech given by Brooks at the MCEC main entrance, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official start of foodpro 2026.
foodpro event director, Louise Brooks, provided a snapshot of what to expect this year in the Q2 2026 edition of Food & Drink Business. She said the event was delighted to welcome Minister Brooks to officially open foodpro 2026.
“Minister Brooks is responsible for Industry and Advanced Manufacturing, Defence Industry and Skills and TAFE Food manufacturing is one of Victoria's largest advanced manufacturing sectors, and it’s a privilege to have a Minister whose portfolios span industry, skills and training open the show,” said Louise Brooks.
“We look forward to welcoming the industry to Melbourne for what will be an outstanding few days.”
