Red Bull has released this year's limited Winter Edition to the Australian market, a seasonal flavour that celebrates the peak orchard fruit season of autumn and early winter. Red Bull Pear & Cinnamon, a flavour that combines the taste of pear with a cosy spice accent, is available in stores for a limited time only.

Initially hitting the northern market in October 2023, this year’s winter edition joins a festive and fruity trend, with previous winter editions including flavours such as Arctic Berry, Fig-Apple, and Pomegranate.

The Red Bull Winter Edition and the Red Bull Summer Edition are the seasonal additions to the Red Bull Editions line of Energy Drinks and are available for a limited time. This year’s Summer edition was Juneberry flavoured.

In Australia, the Red Bull Editions line also includes the Tropical Edition, the Red Edition (Watermelon), the Green Edition (Dragon Fruit), the sugar free Purple Edition (Acai) and the sugar free Apricot Edition (Apricot & Strawberry).

A Red Bull spokesperson said that the brand is hoping to repeat the success of its Summer Edition, and consumer testing indicated that the demand was there.

“The new flavour performed well in trials, delivering strong purchase intent. A huge 76 per cent said they would purchase a festive flavoured Energy Drink and 49 per cent of these was particularly due to the festive flavour.”

The 250 ml can of Red Bull contains 80 mg of caffeine, about the same as in a home-brewed cup of coffee, as well as 11 g of sugar per 100 ml, sourced from sugar beets.

The Red Bull Winter Edition Pear & Cinnamon is available at Coles stores nationally, for RRP $3.10.
