Peters Ice Cream brand, Connoisseur, has brought a trendy flavour into a new category, with the launch of its Connoisseur Strawberry Matcha stick multipack, now available exclusively at Coles.

Strawberry matcha has become one of the year's biggest drink trends, and Connoisseur has jumped on the opportunity to be one of the first to bring it to a new format. It follows the success of the brand’s Pistachio Gelato range, with its Pistachio sticks becoming the brand's second-best-performing multipack since the launch in March.

Matcha has also proven a winning flavour for the brand, in the Connoisseur Matcha Green Tea with White Choc 1L Tub. For its new Strawberry Matcha sticks, green tea leaves are ground into a vibrant matcha powder, folded through smooth ice cream and swirled with luscious strawberry syrup, before being encased in a decadent layer of strawberry-flavoured pink choc.

Connoisseur senior brand manager, Vanessa Mason, said consumers today aren’t just discovering flavours in store anymore.

“They’re discovering them through culture, social media and what's trending online,” said Mason.

“As strawberry matcha is one of the biggest flavour sensations of the past year, we saw an opportunity to be the first to reimagine it into a premium ice cream stick. It captures everything people know and love about the flavour trend while delivering the indulgence and craftsmanship Connoisseur is known for.”

Connoisseur Strawberry Matcha sticks are now available exclusively in Coles stores for RRP $12.00 in a four-pack.
