The Food & Drink Business Podcast Episode 6: Top 100 Food & Beverage Companies Report analysis

The Top 100 Food & Drink Companies 2020 report: the analysis

Food & Drink Business editor Kim Berry and IBISWorld industry analyst Matthew Reeves dissect this year's Top 100 Food & Drink Companies report.

Kim and Matt discuss the 2020 Top 100 list, examining the movements within the list and the factors that were at play.

During the discussion, a number of causes are noted including re-organisations and changes to reporting periods, COVID-19, climate impacts, changes in consumer demand and increased competition. While it has certainly been a dynamic year, one surprise was that, despite COVID-19, many Australian companies were able to increase their export markets.

We also briefly review particular sectors and companies within the list that Matt found of interest before wrapping up the discussion.

You can find full details in the report in the November/December issue of Food & Drink Business. It will also be published on the website.
