Phoebe Dowling looks after sustainability for the global Simplot food business, overseeing the pillars of people, planet and prosperity. She has enjoyed a 20+ year career with Simplot, working across multiple functions and geographies. Phoebe has been a key driver of getting the business behind the Australian Food Pact, recognising the role that food waste plays in multiple facets of business including process efficiency, business profitability, emissions reduction and addressing food insecurity.

Rose Gooding, Sustainability Lead for Goodman Fielder

Rose is the Sustainability Lead at Goodman Fielder, a leading regional food company known for brands like Helga’s, Wonder, Pampas and Praise. Since joining the business in 2021, she has led programs focusing on governance and tracking of the sustainability strategy, food waste, social impact, reconciliation, responsible supply chains, and emissions reduction. Rose’s background is a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Commerce, and she has experience in community led social impact projects. This has influenced her dedication to making positive sustainability action scalable and accessible.

Katy Barfield, CEO and founder, Yume Food

Katy is an award winning entrepreneur and food waste veteran. Before starting Yume, Katy was the founding CEO of one of Australia's largest food rescue organisations, SecondBite. As the Founder and CEO of Yume, Katy leads a team of passionate food waste fighters to put an end to commercial food waste through innovative technology, which has redistributed almost 10 million kilograms of food to businesses and charities across Australia and returned over $25m back to businesses. In 2023, Katy was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia and has also been awarded the Banksia Sustainability Award (2020), Australian Financial Review Women of Influence for Business & Entrepreneur Award (2019), Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Award (2018) and Telstra Victorian Business Women’s For Purpose and Social Enterprise Award (2017).
