Woolworths is buying milk directly from two WA dairy farmers as it rolls out its second premium milk product under the Farmers' Own brand.

The two dairy farmers from the Margaret River wine region will supply the supermarket giant with over 10 million litres of milk, according to ABC Rural.

The news comes a year after the retailer controversially launched the Farmers' Own brand, which saw it bypass established processors and buy direct from dairy farmers in NSW's Manning Valley, and the milk is now available in 105 stores across NSW.

The Farmers' Own brand seeks to tap the growing trend of customers wanting to buy local. Woolworths also says it is also seeking to expand Farmers' Own into Queensland and Victoria.
