Women & Leadership Australia (WLA) is offering partial scholarships of $700-$3000 to help women in the farming and agriculture industries participate in its range of leadership courses.

Aiming to reduce financial barriers and encourage wider participation across the organisation’s flexible course options, the WLA scholarships support women at various career stages in the agriculture sector.

WLA reports strong outcomes from its graduates, with 90 per cent of participants stating they gained the confidence to pursue more senior leadership roles, and improved their capacity to lead change. Around 80 per cent also noted they became better at giving feedback or managing conflict, and experienced improved career progression after participating in WLA programs.

Courses include;

  • Skills for Workplace Impact – an online 10‑week foundational program for women at all levels. Requiring 1-2 hours per week, the focus is on interpersonal skills such as communication, conflict, decision making, and energy management.
  • Leading Edge – tailored for early-career managers, this online course aims to grow skills in leadership performance, communication, emotional intelligence, feedback, team building, and navigating change. It involves around 2 hours of learning per week for four months.
  • Executive Ready – designed for mid-level managers, this seven‑month program (also around 2 hours per week) builds capabilities in authenticity, influence, innovation, problem solving, change leadership, and professional development.
  • Advanced Leadership Program – targeted at senior and executive‑level leaders, this is a nine month course, taking around 1.5 hours per week. Key themes include resilience, strategic mindset, team empowerment, leading change, and refining leadership presence.

WLA also has a partnership with Deakin University, allowing graduates from its leadership courses to accumulate credits toward a Master of Business Administration or Graduate Certificate in Business Administration.

Through its Industry Partnership Framework, works alongside Australian industry to create deeper awareness and action around gender equity. The organisation stated widespread industry support enables it to provide partial scholarships for women in the sector.
