Gruppo Campari has offered a fresh take on the way bourbon is traditionally consumed with its The Wild Turkey Way event series which arrived in Sydney last week.

The event, which was held at the Annandale Hotel, sought to promote the creation of the world-first smoke-infused Wild Turkey Kentucky Firebird cocktail, alongside other new bourbon cocktail recipes.

Wild Turkey dates back to the mid-nineteenth century, but its name came about in 1940 after a distillery executive shared his bourbon with friends on an annual hunting trip.

The distillery is located in Lawrenceburg Kentucky, situated next to the Kentucky River. The Wild Turkey Way's Kentucky-inspired ambience also had some modern twists, such as an exhibition of artworks by musician-turned-artist Bertie Blackman, street artist and sculptor Will Coles and multidisciplinary star Nikolaus Dolman, and the interactive live music of the Hot Potato Band.

Gruppo Campari Group oversees a portfolio of over 50 premium and super premium brands and trades in over 190 countries.
