Tourism New Zealand has rolled out a website showcasing '100% Pure New Australia-Land' in response to Meat & Livestock's (MLA) latest summer lamb campaign.

Australia and New Zealand were united and renamed 'New Australia-land' in this summer's Australian Lamb ad from MLA. The ad saw Aussie politicians hatching a plan to bring the nations together over a floating lamb barbecue in the middle of the Tasman Sea.

Tourism New Zealand's 100% Pure New Australia-Land website, which was created with TBWA Sydney following the campaign, showcases the best locations in New Australia-Land – all of which are located in New Zealand.

“Aussies seem to think Kiwis are all about Phar Lap and flat whites, but New Zealand has so much more to offer; exciting art and culture, a great food and wine scene and a rich history of one-upmanship,” TBWA Sydney CCO Andy DiLallo recently told AdNews.

“We realised this was the perfect creative opportunity to share all this awesome stuff with the rest of the world.”

TBWA Sydney creative director Katrina Alvarez-Jarratt noted that not only does New Zealand have all the best bits of New Australia-Land, but it even looks like a lamb chop.

The campaign also includes Facebook and Twitter posts encouraging people to visit New Australia-land.
