Melbourne-based Thirsty Group’s flagship Baxter Vodka has taken home the Triple Still Prize, after impressing judges around the world.

Jake Gautreaux and Dom Evans founded Thirsty Group in a garage in 2017. Since then, the group has produced more than one million bottles annually, now out of its Melbourne production facility, and achieved sales in the eight figures range.

The coveted Triple Still Prize is only awarded to brands that win the top prize in San Francisco, Singapore, and New York collectively.

Baxter Vodka has also claimed the title of World's Best Vodka at other awards, in 2021 at the Vodka Masters in London, and at the 2022 International Spirits Competition in Berlin. It most recently took home gold at the 2024 London Spirits Competition.

Thirsty Group's Aubrey Liqueurs brand was also recognised, being awarded World’s Best Liqueur for its Mango Liqueur at the 2023 SIP Awards in Los Angeles.

Gautreaux said building an alcohol business to more than 5000 distributions nationwide did not come without it challenges.

“While it hasn't been all smooth sailing, navigating through challenges and uncertainties has been instrumental in refining our products and propelling us to our current position.

“Receiving the industry's most prestigious award is a true honour, showcasing the passion and dedication of our team. We are beyond excited to continue producing World Best spirits and propel into 2024 with some exciting new variations,” said Gautreaux.

Thirsty Group’s portfolio portfolio includes Baxter Vodka, Aubrey Liqueurs, OJALÁ Tequila, Burn City Spiced Rum, Truepenny Gin, and Southern Spirits.

Dedicated to crafting all-natural, additive-free beverages, it is planning to expand its portfolio with new products and international markets in 2024.
