Bendigo Brittle has been awarded the 2026 Hive Local Manufacturer Award. The company is family-owned, employing a small team hand-producing hundreds of thousands of units of brittle every year in a custom-designed commercial kitchen in regional Victoria.

Founded by Greta Donaldson, the company has evolved from a kitchen-based confectionery concept into a nationally distributed brand, manufactured in regional Victoria using Australian ingredients and small-batch techniques.

From its initial offering of a 200g Peanut Brittle pack, Bendigo Brittle has expanded its range to offer a 100g peanut brittle pack, a 400g peanut brittle pack, a 1kg peanut brittle pack, as well as a 100g macadamia brittle pack, a 100g cashew brittle pack, a 100g almond brittle pack, a 100g pistachio brittle pack, a 100g chilli peanut brittle (mild) pack and a 100g chilli peanut brittle (hot) pack. The company also makes a 100g and a 200g vegan peanut brittle pack, as well as 200g matte black tins in macadamia and peanut.

Throughout the process, the company has been determined to build and maintain a high-quality brand, sourcing the best local ingredients and supporting local business wherever possible.
