Health food company Well Naturally has extended its range of sugar-free chocolate with the addition of No Added Sugar Milk Chocolate, which has 80 per cent less sugar than regular milk chocolate.

With obesity and Type 2 diabetes on the rise, ‘sugar-free’ diets are rapidly growing in popularity. No Added Sugar Milk Chocolate uses plant-based natural sweetener stevia instead of sucrose, which makes up 40 to 50 per cent of regular milk chocolate.

Well Naturally seeks to remove all ‘empty calories’, retaning only the natural sugars present in lactose. The new range is available in two flavours: Creamy Milk and Fruit & Nut.

Well Naturally brand manager Tracy Wong said the products have been introduced in response to overwhelming requests from consumers who enjoy its Sugar Free Dark Chocolate.

“People know that dark chocolate is considered a ‘better-for-you’ option, but now, those who love milk chocolate can enjoy a low-sugar alternative to their usual calorific sweet treats,” she said.

Well Naturally No Added Sugar Milk Chocolate is available from Woolworths in a 45g bar size at RRP $2.69.
