Queensland brewing company, Stony Creek Brewing has acquired 4 Hearts Brewery and The Pumpyard Bar in Ipswich, in a strategic move aiming to broaden its market reach.

The company plans to update the facilities and menu over the coming month, with new offerings catering to beer lovers and local patrons looking for a quick and satisfying bite.

Stony Creek Brewing co-founder Deryk Anderson, said that expanding from the company’s existing Lockyer Valley nanobrewery has always been part of its vision.

“The opportunity to take over 4 Hearts came at a perfect time. We are excited to bring our passion for traditional independent brewing to this iconic location in Ipswich,” he said.

Stony Brook co-founder and prior employee of 4 Hearts Brewery and Pumpyard Bar, Jack Anderson, will take on a managerial role with the company, overseeing the integration and introduction of Stony Creek’s beer line.

“Having worked closely with the team and customers here, I am confident in the seamless blending of our operations. We are committed to retaining the beloved 4 Hearts brews on our menu,” said Anderson.

With the rebrand to Stony Creek Brewing, co-founder and event organiser, Karen Anderson, said that engaging with the Ipswich and Lockyer Valley communities was a top priority for the team.

“We look forward to participating in local events like Spark Festival, Galvanized, and Fire in the Grove. Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates,” she said.
