Barely two weeks after B2B beverage tech platform Kaddy went into voluntary administration, Singapore based food and beverage focused investment company Lecca has stepped in, recapitalised the Marketplace division, overhauled its business model, and rebadged it Kaddy Reborn.

Working with Kaddy CEO Steve Voorma, Lecca is implementing a simpler business model with a “refreshed” management team. It is also going to offer a wider range of products, more competitive pricing and improved application features for suppliers and customers.

Voorma said the company had listened to the market and implemented a range of initiatives.

“With Lecca’s expertise, support, and funding we have significantly strengthened our market position. This collaboration, coupled with our simplified yet enhanced business model, will enable us to deliver an unparalleled market offering, setting the industry standard for both suppliers and buyers,” Voorma said.

The company said it would be drawing on Lecca’s food and beverage experience, “to continue with its ambition of disrupting Australia’s alcohol wholesale and distribution market, where customers will have access to a wider range of high-volume products at more competitive pricing, including globally recognised beers and spirits”.

Lecca is a regional investment holding company focused on food and beverage, distribution, logistics and reimagined retail and e-commerce. It owns Cellarbration, an online alcohol delivery business in Singapore with multiple outlets and one of the largest selection of wines, spirits, whiskies and beers.

Packaging News

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
