Simplot has launched a posh new premium range of sauces under its Leggo's brand called the Providore Series.

The sauces, which are now available in Coles, seek to capture the best ingredients from Northern Italy to deliver consumers with a unique-tasting pasta sauce product, according to Simplot.

The four variants are Vine Ripened Tomatoes with Caramelised Baby Onions, Provincial Italian Tomatoes with Grilled Bell Peppers, Italian Tomatoes with Whole Cherry Tomatoes & Red Chilli, and Parmesan, Emmenthal, Mascarpone and Roquefort.

Chief marketing officer at Simplot Australia, Suzanne Harman, says the ‘Providore Series’ offers consumers a premium dining experience for those who seek high quality products but also want the convenience of pasta sauce.

“We’ve taken a long time to develop our new premium offering of ‘Providore Series’ Sauces to ensure that every ingredient is perfect,” Harman says.

She says each sauce variant has been made using the best ingredients, including hand-picked cherry tomatoes, cheeses and herbs, sourced from the heart of Northern Italy.

The range sells for a recommended retail price of $6.29 for a 490g/500g serving.
