Brazilian former football striker Ronaldo is starring in a humorous new campaign for Mars Inc's Snickers brand.

The new "You get confused when you're hungry" campaign shows Ronaldo cheering for Argentina – Brazil's historical football rival – at a friendly game against Spain in Madrid.

The global campaign will bring 50 consumers from more than 50 countries to meet the football great in his home country in October.

Ronaldo "o Fenômeno" (the phenomenon) launched the campaign on his social media profiles last week by posting the film of him cheering for the opposition.

When he notices the confused people around him, he eats a Snickers, satisfying his hunger and returning to normal.

The campaign builds on Snickers' global 'You're not you when you're hungry' platform.
