Former Asahi Beverages Group CEO, Robert Iervasi, has joined the board of SPC Global. Iervasi left Asahi in June, after 16 years with the company.

At Asahi, Iervasi led a company with $5 billion revenue and 5000 employees in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. He had also been COO, CFO and general counsel for the company.

He was at the helm during the acquisition and integration of Carlton & United Breweries in 2020. He was integral to the state-of-the-art recycling joint venture with Pact Group, Cleanaway Waste Services, and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Circular Plastics Australia,  and a number of acquisitions including Allpress Coffee and Strangelove. And he also oversaw significant sustainability initiatives including energy agreements, suppliers value chain, waste, and packaging targets.

SPC Global chair Hussein Rifai said he was delighted to welcome Iervasi to the board.

“His remarkable track record of leadership and his extensive experience in the food and beverage industry will undoubtedly enhance our strategic direction and contribute to the ongoing success of our organisation. We look forward to the fresh insights and innovative thinking that Robert will bring to our team,” Rifai said.

Iervasi said, “I have been impressed with the portfolio offering, growth ambitions and capability within SPC Global. I am thrilled to be part of an organisation that is not only growth-oriented but also dedicated to meeting the dynamic needs of customers and consumers.  I am looking forward to collaborating with the board and management team to bring SPC Global’s strategy into fruition.”
