Health food company, Red Tractor, and Aldi Australia have renewed their support of food relief agency, Foodbank Australia, with the latest round of the “Buy One, Give One” campaign. During the initiative, every 1.6kg bag of Red Tractor oats purchased at Aldi stores across the country will see 1.6kg of oats donated to Foodbank, with each donated pack of oats providing up to 40 meals for families in need.
The program first ran last year, resulting in three million meals worth of oats donated through Foodbank’s community. As food insecurity continues to soar across the country, Red Tractor and Aldi are hoping to make an even bigger impact in 2025.

Red Tractor CEO, Andrew Loader, said the company is seeing struggling Australians choose between heating and eating every day.
“This winter, we're not just asking people to buy oats, we're asking them to be part of the solution,” said Loader.
“As a proud Australian brand, we see this as our responsibility. Every bag purchased doesn't just support Australian farmers, it directly feeds families who otherwise might go without.”
Foodbank’s Hunger Report 2024 revealed a third of Australian households are now experiencing food insecurity, with more than half (59 per cent) of those facing the most extreme level of hardship, regularly skipping meals or going entire days without food.
Foodbank Australia CEO, Brianna Casey, said the organisation believes everyone deserves to have access to good food, and there is nothing more satisfying on a cold winter’s morning than a warm bowl of oats to start the day.
“We are incredibly thankful to Red Tractor and Aldi for the generous support they provide Foodbank with this much-needed donation of delicious, nutritious Australian grown oats,” said Casey.
Red Tractor’s 1.6kg Oats ($6.49 RRP) are now available in Aldi stores nationwide as a Special Buy, while stocks last. For more information on how to support the “Buy One, Give One” initiative and help tackle food insecurity in Australia, head to redtractorfoods.com.au.
