Australian baby food company Rafferty’s Garden has launched its Flavours of the World range to help parents avoid the fussy-eating phase that’s common among toddlers.

Each pouch reflects the signature dish of a different country with recipes such as Mild Chicken Green Curry, Beef Bourguignon and Teriyaki Chicken, Vegetables & Rice offering young consumers their first experience of exotic textures and tastes.

The range was developed in response to research suggesting that babies who are exposed to a greater variety of flavours at an earlier age are less fussy eaters when they’re older.

The range is packaged in BPA-free pouch packs and is free from GM ingredients, artificial colours and flavours.

Rafferty’s Garden’s new Flavours of the World range is suitable for youngsters over the age of ten months, and is available nationally at leading supermarkets at RRP $2.49 for a 170g pouch.

Federal ministers yesterday convened an urgent industry roundtable on plastics supply chain pressures, placing packaging reform and domestic recycling capability firmly at the centre of discussions around Australia’s food security and manufacturing resilience.

The Australian Beverages Council has renewed calls for urgent national packaging reform, saying global supply disruptions highlight the need for stronger domestic recycling and harmonised EPR.
