Bega Cheese has launched Blend 17 a premium limited edition Vegemite product with a "bolder finish".

 

According to its maker, the new offering, which is manufactured at the Port Melbourne Vegemite facility, has been “crafted for a richer Vegemite experience with a bolder finish”.

 

The 150g jar comes in a gold-lidded cardboard box and sells for $7.00, double that of a traditional jar.

 

Earlier this year, Bega Cheese took over the brand when it bought the grocery business of US food giant Mondelēz International.

 

The name Blend 17 refers to the year of the product's release, according to Bega Cheese.
