Spanish TV chef Miguel Maestre will launch a range of paella kits in Woolworths stores next month.

Miguel’s $10 Paella a la Maestre kits include the ingredients needed to make Spanish Bomba Rice, Paprika and Sofrito.

Consumers can add their choice of chicken, chorizo or seafood to the kit and make the meal in 18 minutes.

Maestre’s paella was inspired by his upbringing in Murcia, Spain, and he has kept the tradition going in his restaurants and live cooking demonstrations.

“I’m constantly told by people that they think cooking paella is difficult,” he says. “This kit proves anyone can make paella, and it can become a part of your mid-week meals just like spaghetti bolognaise or a curry.”

Maestre has also launched a new, non-alcoholic Sangria, which can be paired with the paella. It can be used as a cocktail base or on its own, and is sold through Woolworths also.
