Premium olive oil producer, Oasis Olives, has acquired the Alto Olives brand. The company stated the union of the Alto portfolio with Oasis Olives marks an exciting new stage in both businesses' evolution.

Alto Olives was co-founded in 1999 by Robert Armstrong and his daughter Westerly Isbaih, and produces a range of extra virgin olive oils (EVOOs), table olives, and agridulce style vinegars from its vertically integrated New South Wales farm operation – Hopeful Ranch – listed for sale last October. The property has been sold separately to the merger with Oasis Olives.

The company also produces a range of EVOOs and table olives for the foodservice and hospitality industries.

Following the acquisition, the Alto Olives range and incumbent national distribution network remain unchanged, with Oasis stating new products are in development and will be announced in coming months.

Alto Olives has collaborated with Oasis Olives for several years to create high-quality oil blends, an alignment that will continue to support and grow Alto Olives’ presence in the market.

Oasis Olives stated the grove and oil production teams ensure that the best quality olives are selected for the Alto range, picked and processed within hours at the processing facility on the grove. This vertically integrated operation aims to ensure retention of freshness, flavour and peak polyphenol and antioxidant levels, critical EVOO quality markers.

Isbaih will continue with the brand as Alto sales & marketing manager, and remains the chief blender for the Alto Olives portfolio, providing technical, educational and marketing support.

Oasis Olives founder, John Symington, said the company’s commitment to excellence, sustainability and traceability will ensure the Alto range meets the needs of the food sector now and into the future.

“The merger with Alto Olives will provide a broader offering of olive oils and table olives into the foodservice and hospitality sectors, while maintaining the superior quality of the Alto product range,” said Symington.

“There is a natural synergy in this collaboration and we are honoured to be entrusted with the Alto legacy created by Robert Armstrong and his daughter Westerly Isbaih. Their passion and achievements are admired by many in the olive industry.”

The 2026 new season Alto Olives releases include two final oils from Hopeful Ranch – the award-winning Alto Vividus, and Alto Novello – a special blend combining Hojiblanca from the Oasis Kialla grove and Volos from the original Alto Hopeful grove.
