‘Naturally Sugar Free’ beverage innovator Nexba is looking to crowdfund its global expansion plans.

The Aussie company has teamed up with crowdfunding platform VentureCrowd, which is backed by Artesian Venture Partners, and will use the funds raised to expand its operations to the UK, Europe and the US over the next 12 months.

The beverage company says it is poised to secure a distribution deal with a major retailer in the UK. The negotiation is in its final stages and the first drop is expected to be delivered later this year.

Once established in the UK, Nexba plans to expand into Europe through strategic distribution partners, and then enter the US, starting with California.

The latest round is an extension of Nexba's Series A funding round that has a pre-money valuation of $20 million, with lead investors including River Capital, ex-CEO of David Jones Paul Zahra, fashion house Joe Farage, and Link Healthcare founder John Bacon.
